Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra

Situation

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is a vibrant performing arts organization with an international reputation for its artistic excellence, community engagement, and educational initiatives that serve a growing metropolitan region. To bolster the CSO's financial stability and build a sustainable fundraising program that would feed future major gift and endowment efforts, RSC Associates developed a Three-Year Fundraising Plan, outlining tactics to meet contributed revenue growth goals, and coached the Philanthropy Team in its execution over the course of the fiscal year.

Result

Through an RSC Associates partnership, the CSO increased their Annual Fund revenue over the previous year by $265,000 – with staff committed to exceed 10% growth by end of the fiscal year. Individual revenue outpaced the previous year by 10% and the number of donors increased by 17%.

What the Client Said

“RSC provided the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra with the guidance and counsel we needed to greatly improve our annual fund program.  We experienced a notable jump, both in terms of revenue and in the number of total donors. Working with RSC was a great experience. It is a team infused with integrity, and our work with them has had a lasting effect on how the CSO raises funds.”
